Alfonso Santimone Laser Pigs Ecce Combo
Ecce Combo

This recording is made of some of my own original compositions, a collective improvisation and a sort of personal rewriting of Arnold Schönberg's "Sechs Kleine Klavierstücke" Op.19.
Laser Pigs deals with a musically dense and groundbreaking material, very important for the subsequent developments of the music of the 20th century. It is placed into a different perspective by means of an adventurous attitude and a great amount of unstable energy.
My own compositions are heterofonic architectures conceived with a great amount of formal content, but dissolved and deconstructed during the improvisational process.
The double-sided core of Laser Pigs' music relies in the balance between formal strictness and the irresistible impulse to dissolve the form itself.

valutazione: 4 stelle

DISCO DEL MESE - febbraio 2011
