Six Dances Under

Each of the featured tracks is a possible development of a same compositional method that I called DANZA#.
DANZA# is a complex time-space structure for improvisation. That structure is made of three basic elements: the definite space (musical notation), the open space (static improvisation) and the dance (dynamic improvisation). This elements are built through sound, and they may occur in every combination according to the score instructions.
"Dance" is meant as sonic movement of the improviser (or multiple improvisers) inside the structure outlined by the time-space of the composition and of the players' intention. This system is a language generator, rather then the expression of an aesthetical purpose: its rules create a synthesis themselves, and avoid detachment or hierarchy among the elements employed by the composer and the performers.
These tunes are aimed to make structures where the sonic improviser has to live with the space bonds, and the body improviser has to live with the sound bonds. Movable structures whose overall meaning slips from the control of the individuals. It's the ultimate will to generate communication.

"Il contrabbassista Antonio Borghini [...] e' un musicista rigoroso, attento - per sua stessa ammissione - piu' ai processi che alle estetiche. L'approccio e' intelligente e anche sostenuto dal talento [...] il rigore delle strutture formali da' all'esito complessivo una vibrante personalita'"
