Rope Have You Met Miss Bates?
Have You Met Miss Bates?

Wandering about between Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington, between Bill Triglia and John Zorn on routes dear to Thelonious Monk and Herbie Nichols and further. Misha Mengelberg's kinetic and jagged post-bop lines, destined forever to bear the sharp and visionary mark of Eric Dolphy, unravelled and rebuilt by a piano trio which moves free from taboos.

Fabrizio Puglisi is one of the most surprising musicians on the current Italian scene and he finds in Zeno de Rossi and Stefano Senni two totally empathic instrumental voices, capable of rising above the rhythmical tradition of bass and percussion so that the music is interpreted with the greatest awareness of all its implications.
